I’ve spent over 40 years in the ocean, 15 of them in Margaret River. I reckon I’ve surfed, paddled, fished, hiked and visited nearly every coastal trail, reef ledge and beach in the region!
Your safety is paramount to me in being able to enjoy your time in Margaret River. I’ve got over 30 years experience in aquatic rescue and ocean safety.
I’ve worked in water safety services in a range of different areas, for Hollywood as the Marine Coordinator for the movie Drift, and as a consultant to the Emirate of Dubai. I was also the Government Project Manager for the world’s first artificial surf reef.
I spent 5 years coordinating the Margaret River jet ski rescue for Surf Life Saving and work part time as a rescue crewman in the Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter for 3 years.
I also enjoy paddle surfing and made some videos of some days out at a local surf break a while back. My wife, Charlotte coaches local ladies in the pool, getting them confident in the water with ‘Swimming Women‘, and 3 boys under the age of 10 keep me constantly on the go!
